It is still unknown if Indian skipper Rohit Sharma will be participating in the captains’ event of the ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan.

Sources claim that no clarification has been given for Rohit Sharma’s visit to Pakistan. Furthermore, it is unknown if the Indian cricket body needs government consent in order for him to play.

In the meantime, Rohit Sharma’s trip to Pakistan has not been discussed and is not currently on the plan, according to BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia.

The issue of Pakistan’s name being printed on the Indian team’s jersey has already been settled, with the BCCI confirming that ICC regulations will be followed. It is important to note that the PCB has stressed to the ICC that all arrangements should be in line with policies and traditions.

For background, there was no captains’ press conference prior to the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 because the teams were practicing in cities in the USA and the West Indies.

The captains’ event for the ICC Champions Trophy is probably set for February 16 or 17 in Karachi.
