This cutting-edge technology will allow for ball-by-ball tracking of players’ on-field movements during HBL PSL 10.
In an effort to elevate the spectator experience, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that Player Tracking Technology will be implemented in the 10th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
This cutting-edge technology will allow for ball-by-ball tracking of players’ on-field movements during HBL PSL 10.. As each game progresses, it will provide comprehensive insights by tracking important aspects including batting stances, bowler run-ups, and fielder positioning.
Real-time visualizations will be created during broadcasts using the data gathered, giving spectators a greater understanding of different game elements. Additionally, monitoring of fielding zones, batter scoring regions, ball-catching tactics during dismissals, and tactical field placements based on players’ strengths and limitations would be possible thanks to the technology.
PSL CEO Salman Naseer discussed the development, stating that since its inception in 2016, the league has consistently prioritized innovation. Player tracking technology was included, which he described as a significant step in enhancing the overall viewing experience.
“The HBL PSL has always welcomed innovation, and we are moving forward in improving the fan experience with the introduction of Player Tracking Technology in its upcoming edition,” Naseer stated.
“We have always aimed to provide top-notch coverage. Another stage in establishing the HBL PSL as a standard for contemporary cricket broadcasting is Player Tracking Technology,” he continued.
