Imran Khan, the former captain of Pakistan who won the World Cup, continues to top the list with 12 five-wicket hauls.
By surpassing Jason Holder to become the fourth man on the exclusive list of Test captains with the most five-wicket hauls, Australian Test skipper Pat Cummins accomplished an incredible milestone. In the second Test of the five-match Border-Gavaskar series against India, Cummins accomplished this accomplishment.
Cummins put on a dominant display, taking five wickets in the second innings and helping to limit India to just 19 runs lead in their 2nd innings. India’s batting order was completely destroyed by his flaming spell, giving Australia an easy chase.
In just 3.2 overs, the Australian openers chased down the target without losing a wicket, securing the victory and tying the series at one.
With his eighth five-wicket haul as a Test captain, Cummins surpassed Jason Holder, who had seven hauls, and joined the great Bishan Singh Bedi. Imran Khan, the former captain of Pakistan who won the World Cup, continues to top the list with 12 five-wicket hauls.

Cummins’ performance demonstrates both his ability to lead from the front under duress and his talent as a top-tier bowler. The third Test is scheduled on December 14 at the Gabba, with the series currently level.
