Wood from bats that belonged to the two legendary players was used to create the trophy.

As a tribute to the late cricketers Martin Crowe of New Zealand and Graham Thorpe of England, the England-New Zealand cricket series has been named as *Crowe-Thorpe Trophy*.

Wood from bats that belonged to the two legendary players was used to create the trophy. The bats were donated for this purpose by the families of Thorpe and Crowe. Interestingly, the bats used by Thorpe to score a century against New Zealand and Crowe to hit a century against England are included in the trophy.

This trophy will henceforth be the goal of every series between these two teams. The ruling demonstrates how much both countries value and appreciate these iconic athletes, who are regarded as some of the best batters of all time.

Graham Thorpe, who was known for his tenacity at the crease, died earlier this year, while Martin Crowe, who was recognized for his graceful batting, died in 2016. This homage guarantees that their legacy will continue to motivate generations to come.
