With assistance from the Pakistan Navy, a Colombian cliff diver swam into the Arabian Sea to retrieve the HBL PSL 10 Luminara trophy.

The 10th edition trophy, Luminara, was unveiled on Karachi’s coastal waters, marking a historic milestone for the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL).

This historic occasion, which represents creativity, genius, tenacity, and the spirit of Pakistan’s top T20 league, represents an important chapter in the league’s history.

With the help of the Pakistan Navy, Colombian cliff-diving sensation Orlando Duque made a spectacular dive into the Arabian Sea to retrieve the Luminara trophy.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) posted a video of the amazing event, in which Duque presented the priceless trophy to former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and PSL CEO Salman Naseer, among others, on the Karachi shoreline.

The 10-kilogram Luminara is set with 22,850 high-luster zircon stones and is crafted from a single sheet of solid silver. The competitive quality, vigor, and passion that characterize the HBL PSL are reflected in the elaborate stone settings.

Derived from the Latin words luminare (torch) and lumens (light), the name Luminara represents the league’s journey’s illumination and its dedication to cricketing greatness over the last ten years.

A professional diver retrieved a treasure chest carrying the trophy during the unveiling ceremony, which took place in the Arabian Sea’s open waters.

This amazing performance is a testament to the league’s profound development, spirit, and persistent dedication to innovation. Cricket players, franchise representatives, PCB officials, and HBL all attended the occasion, which increased anticipation for the next HBL PSL X.

“The unveiling of Luminara at sea is a testament to the league’s dedication to excellence and innovation,” said PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. In commemoration of the HBL PSL’s tenth anniversary, this trophy stands for both our bright past and bright future.

“The HBL Pakistan Super League has always been about pushing boundaries, both on and off the field,” said Salman Naseer, CEO of the HBL PSL.

HBL PSL has been a storehouse of skill, tenacity, and sportsmanship, just like the sea possesses depth and secrets. The enthusiasm that our players and supporters have for the game is reflected in this special unveiling.

From April 11 to May 18, four cities—Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi—will host the 10th edition of the HBL PSL. Islamabad United, the reigning champions, will play Lahore Qalandars in the first game at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
