In Saturday’s high-scoring match at the National Bank Stadium, James Vince’s spectacular effort helped Karachi Kings chase down a huge target of 235 and overcome Multan Sultans by four wickets.

With an incredible 101 off just 43 balls, including 14 fours and four sixes, Vince took the lead as they chased 235. One of the most thrilling games of the season thus far, his brilliant innings set the tone for Karachi’s chase.

Together with Khushdil Shah, who contributed significantly with a fast 60 off 37 deliveries, including five fours and four sixes, he formed a match-winning 142-run partnership.

The Kings still needed runs to win after both batters were removed in quick succession. However, Irfan Khan and Abbas Afridi maintained composure and led the team home with a deft finish. Karachi finished at 236/6 after hitting the target on the second ball of the last over.

Tim Seifert had earlier given the Kings a head start by scoring 32 runs from 16 balls, including three sixes and two boundaries.

The Multan Sultans’ standout bowler, Akif Javed, took three wickets, followed by Usama Mir and Michael Bracewell, who each took one.

The captain’s knock from Mohammad Rizwan, who was still undefeated at 105 off 63 balls, helped the Multan Sultans, who were put in to bat first, achieve an incredible 234/3 in their 20 overs. He hit five sixes and nine fours in his innings.

Kamran Ghulam, who made a useful 36 off 19 balls, and Usman Khan, who scored 19 off 15, were the two main partnerships that supported Rizwan. Michael Bracewell completed an undefeated 89-run partnership for the fourth wicket with a last burst of 44 not out off just 17 balls.

Hasan Ali, Abbas Afridi, and Khushdil Shah all bowled well, taking one wicket apiece, but the Karachi Kings still had to chase a difficult target, and they accomplished it in spectacular fashion.
