Shaheen takes fourth place in the ODI bowling rankings, while Babar remains the top ODI batter.
DUBAI: The most recent International Cricket Council (ICC) ODI and Test Rankings saw progress for Pakistan’s top players, Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
According to the most recent rankings, the former captain continued to hold the top spot among ODI batters with 822 rating points, while opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq dropped a little from 11th to 12th place with 666 rating points.
Fakhar Zaman, on the other hand, was still in the Top 10, ranking ninth with 675 rating points.
Shaheen, on the other hand, rose three spots to fourth place in the ODI bowling rankings. He received 655 rating points for his outstanding performance with the ball in the opening ODI against Australia, with outstanding bowling figures of 2/43 in his 10 overs.
But even though he took three wickets to lead Pakistan’s impressive display in the aforementioned match, Haris Rauf lost ground, falling four spots to 27th. On the other hand, with 436 rating points, Naseem Shah held steady at 69th place.
Despite missing Pakistan’s final two Test matches in the three-match series against England, star batsman Babar rose to 17th place in the Test Batting Rankings.
Alongside him, all-rounder Salman Ali Agha and wicketkeeper batter Rizwan made significant progress.
Agha rose to 19th place, while Rizwan’s ranking rose two spots to 20th.
In contrast, Shan Masood, the Test captain of Pakistan, and Saud Shakeel, his deputy, both saw steep drops, falling two spots to 59th and ninth place, respectively.
Shaheen held onto his 15th position in the Test Bowling Rankings, demonstrating his ability as an all-format bowler. Noman Ali and Sajid Khan, who bowled spin, also held onto their positions.
Hasan Ali, a right-arm pacer who hasn’t played a Test match this year, rose one spot to 35th.
