Mohsin Naqvi officially revealed the inauguration dates for the stadiums hosting the ICC Champions Trophy 2025
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 stadium inauguration dates have been formally confirmed by Mohsin Naqvi, chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). To mark these upgrades, the PCB has scheduled grand opening ceremonies at each stadium.
Three key cities in Pakistan—Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi—have received significant improvements in anticipation of hosting the first major ICC tournament in almost thirty years. The PCB has planned grand opening celebrations at each stadium to commemorate these improvements.
Schedule of Stadium Inauguration
- Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on February 7
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is anticipated to be the main guest for the opening of the first stadium. Modernized seating, better floodlights, and increased security have all been added to the historic venue.
- Karachi’s National Stadium on February 11
Asif Ali Zardari, the former president, will be present at the inaugural ceremony. A redesigned outfield, better media center, and enhanced spectator facilities are among the renovations.
- Lahore (official tournament opening) on February 16
Gaddafi Stadium will host the official opening of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which will be attended by representatives of the international cricket boards, PCB, and ICC.
After nearly 30 years, Pakistan is hosting a major ICC event for the first time.
Eight teams will compete in the Champions Trophy 2025 at three different venues in Pakistan and in Dubai.
