The 2025 ICC Men’s Champions Trophy official promotional video was released by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday. It features an exciting, action-packed cinematic sequence with an all-star ensemble of cricketing superstars.

In an action-packed story with a wrestling theme, the video features England’s Phil Salt with Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan. The promo, which is based on the intense visuals of the Mission: Impossible movie series, shows teams committing a spectacular heist in order to win the Champions Trophy.

India’s Hardik Pandya makes a daring appearance to heighten the tension as the scene begins with Shaheen and Shadab launching a clandestine operation to retrieve the trophy.

In a scenario straight out of a Hollywood epic, Shadab Khan is the ultimate sidekick, lowering Shaheen down an air vent into a vault. In an athletic performance that evokes Fast & Furious, Hardik Pandya is shown skillfully dodging lasers. While Mohammad Nabi is seen traveling below to heighten the curiosity, Phil Salt makes an electrifying cameo, appearing to come out of thin air.

An additional element of excitement was added to the campaign when the ICC posted a promotional video that featured Shaheen, Shadab, and Phil Salt performing a characteristic fist bump in the style of The Shield, a tribute to WWE fans.

It is important to note that the eight-team competition, which consists of fifteen matches, will take place in three locations in Pakistan and Dubai: Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. It will take place from February 19 to March 9.

Two groups are formed from the teams. Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh make up Group A. Afghanistan, South Africa, England, and Australia make up Group B.

The curtain-raiser between hosts Pakistan and New Zealand is set for February 19 in Karachi, while the highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan is set for February 23 in Dubai.
