Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), recently toured the stadium to examine the four floors of the under-construction structure.

The National Bank Cricket Stadium in Karachi is now undergoing major renovations following the successful renovation of Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The final stage of the rehabilitation project has begun, and construction on the new structure is moving quickly.

Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), recently toured the stadium to go over the four storeys of the under-construction structure. He gave instructions for the construction of enclosures in the new structure, witnessed the final touches, and evaluated the project’s development during his visit.

Fans may anticipate a unique laser light show for the first time in Pakistani cricket history, while Mohsin Naqvi said that new LED lights are being erected on the stadium poles. Furthermore, in order to give fans an unhindered view, both scoreboards will now be placed higher.

Mohsin Naqvi gave an explanation for the decision, saying, “Raising the scoreboards will ensure a better viewing experience for cricket enthusiasts, avoiding any inconvenience during matches.”

The PCB chairman underlined that improved amenities will be available to both domestic and foreign fans during this season’s games. In order to finish the modifications before the ICC Champions Trophy, he also ordered the work to be accelerated. “Preparations for the Champions Trophy tournament are in full swing, and we must ensure the timely completion of the project with utmost dedication,” Naqvi said.

He suggested reexamining plans to construct a trench between the ground and seating areas to improve safety and directed that parking lots be moved closer to the stadium for the comfort of spectators. He emphasized upholding high standards while guaranteeing prompt progress.

Mohsin Naqvi was given an update on the status of the project during the visit by representatives of the Frontier Works Organization (FWO), which is in charge of the renovations. Naqvi stressed achieving all quality standards and urged the FWO to finish the work on time.

Senior FWO officials, the National Bank Cricket Stadium Manager, and the PCB Director of Infrastructure were also present during the visit.
