As key names are ruled out before the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the injury list keeps getting longer. Teams are rushing to find replacements for important players who have been sidelined due to injuries as the competition comes closer.
Jasprit Bumrah of India is sidelined with a back injury, and Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood of Australia are also sidelined with injuries.
In a further setback for Australia, Mitchell Marsh has been added to the list of players who are unable to take part because of a back ailment.
Gerald Coetzee, a pacer for South Africa, is now out of the event because of a hamstring injury. There will be a significant void in the South African bowling assault due to his absence.
Another important South African bowler, Anrich Nortje, is also unable to participate in the tournament because of a back issue.
In addition, Pakistan’s star Saim Ayub will miss the event because of an ankle ailment, and England’s Jacob Bethell is out due to an issue with his hamstring.

Afghanistan has one fewer bowling attack option as its spin superstar, AM Ghazanfar, is also sidelined with a back ailment.
