Although Rizwan admitted that the T20 series did not produce the anticipated outcomes, he reassured that the team is growing from its failures.
In order to prepare for the Champions Trophy, Pakistan’s cricket team captain, Muhammad Rizwan, has said that the team’s entire focus is on the forthcoming One Day International (ODI) series.
The team is going into the ODI series with the Champions Trophy in mind, Rizwan stressed while speaking during a press conference in Paarl, South Africa. “We aim to maintain our good rhythm in ODIs and will strive to keep it intact,” he stated. “In our team, every player is a captain, and we always use the word ‘we’ instead of ‘I.'”
Although Rizwan admitted that the T20 series did not turn out as planned, he gave his word that the team is improving from its mistakes. “We leave past failures behind, but we learn from them,” he stated. “The ODI series will be a tough competition.”
Rizwan went on to say that the squad is providing young players with T20 format opportunity to gain experience and try new things. “Our team dynamics are great; we are united, whether we are juniors or seniors, and our focus is on the team’s success.”
The skipper also emphasized how crucial it is to adjust to various playing circumstances. “We make an effort to form our team in accordance with the circumstances we encounter. There are always difficulties when performing overseas,” he said.
Although Pakistan has had success, Rizwan noted that South Africa enters the series with momentum following their recent victory. “We defeated Australia in Australia and also won the series in Zimbabwe,” he concluded.
