In order to replace the out-of-form Abdullah Shafique, Babar Azam has been brought back.

In the first Test match against South Africa, which begins on Thursday at SuperSport Park in Centurion, the Pakistani team’s administration and selection committee have decided on a plan to use seven specialist batsmen.

According to rumors, captain Shan Masood and the in-form Saim Ayub will open Pakistan’s innings.  

The out-of-form Abdullah Shafique will be replaced by former Test captain Babar Azam, who was benched for the second and third Test matches against England,Babar is going to bat at no 3.

Saud Shakeel, the vice captain, will bat at number 5, and Kamran Ghulam will bat at no 4. Mohammad Rizwan, the wicketkeeper and limited-overs captain, will bat at number 6.

Salman Ali Agha, a batting all-rounder, will finish the lineup at number 7. Cape Town will host the series’ second Test match on January 3.
