Based on his MRI scans, X-rays, and medical evaluations, doctors have recommended that the left-handed batter take a 10-week break.
He must pass all fitness tests and fulfill all medical standards before he can travel to New Zealand with Pakistan.
It is important to note that Pakistan will travel to New Zealand for a series consisting of three ODIs and five T20Is from March 16 to April 5.
The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is scheduled to start on April 8 after the New Zealand tour.
