Mohsin Naqvi, the PCB chairman, personally examined the ongoing renovations.
With 80% of the entire building site already finished in 53 days, the restoration of Lahore’s famous Gaddafi Stadium has accelerated significantly. Mohsin Naqvi, chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), recently came to the stadium to assess the situation and take a close look at the current work.
With all of the work completed, the main building’s grey structure is complete. In the meantime, enclosure construction is 75% finished and the grey structure of the pavilion building is 90% finished. Additionally, the trench and seating structure building is nearing completion.
Mohsin Naqvi, Chairman of the PCB, personally examined the ongoing renovations, focusing on the seating sections. Additionally, he appreciated the view from the recently built seating areas, which provide a better view of the ground. Additionally, Mr. Naqvi toured the pavilion building’s floors and took in the ongoing construction.
Naqvi oversaw the placement of eye-catching grills on either side of the trench during his inspection, which improved the stadium’s visual attractiveness even further.
“The work on the renovation of Gaddafi Stadium commenced officially on October 10,” Mr. Naqvi said, expressing his happiness with the renovation’s progress. I’m happy to note that the work was finished in 53 days at an amazing pace and with outstanding quality.
“To finish this project, the entire team is working day and night,” he added. Our goal is to complete the renovations prior to the Champions Trophy competition.
The PCB Chairman underlined that the recently refurbished stadium will be top-notch and cutting edge, with space for about 34,000 people. He said he was sure that both players and fans would have a great time at the renovated stadium.
The Chairman further stated, “The entire stadium is being built to international standards, and we are on track to complete the project on time.”
In order to monitor the ongoing work, PCB Chief Operating Officer Sumair Ahmed, the Director of Infrastructure, Frontier Works Organization (FWO) representatives, and NESPAK officials were present during the inspection.
